I bought a Christmas gift for my daughter that was found to be incomplete. After 3 emails and 2 phone calls they offered a 50% refund. This does not fully cover the cost of replacement, the Christmas Day disappointment and total inconvenience so won't be going there again.
Having ordered some garden furniture in February I was assured the furniture was in stock but the accompanying fire pit table was due in mid March. Mid March arrived and my wife enquired to be told delivery had changed to mid April. 2 days ago I received an email saying that delivery was now expected late April. When I went onto Whitehalls facebook page I noticed several comments about delayed delivery and added one of my own to offer prospective customers some real time advice. Tonight I noticed that all comments about garden furniture delivery times have been removed from their fb page. I realise these are difficult times and I accept that there are going to be delivery delays but deliberately removing negative comments from social media is simply unacceptable. Moreover,
to be still advertising goods with obviously incorrect delivery dates is immoral. Clearly this company is more concerned about its bank balance than its customers. This is not the behaviour I would expect from a reputable company.

AVOID buying anything you can not take away you that day. Happy to take your money but have they no real idea when you will receive the items you have paid for.
Ordered our furniture at the end of March, still waiting. You just get fobbed off with very rough estimation dates that come and go.
Originally told end of April when we purchased the item in store and we still haven’t received it. Now saying beginning of July. Take your money else where!
Very disappointing. I have visited Whitehall garden centre in Pewsey several times and, as we are building a new garden, have spent quite a bit of money. A huge variety of plants but expensive. I was sad to see the state of the plants yesterday, a large number were very dry and drooping. This was later in the afternoon and they looked like they had been in that state for a few days.
The younger staff are trying their best to be helpful, but they are not a happy bunch. The manager John, seems to dislike people and has little time for customers. I don't think he likes plants very much either. He would be much happier running a guest house in Torquay. ;o)
Appalling customer service. - quite literally they couldn’t care less, no one calls you back, no one bothers to email you unless you constantly waste your time and chase them - they have all the excuses not to deliver or give us a pick up date. One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing, conflicting promises, lies and nothing materialises - worse still they demand money up front. Go else where. You will just have a load of hassle.
I ordered garden furniture during the first week of march. At the time Whitehall were advertising delivery by the 15th of March.
After I placed my order and paid in full I was emailed to say that delivery would be 6 weeks. After waiting 6 weeks I decided to email to check on my order (nobody will help over the phone!). I received two replies in one day, both had the same generic message... the first saying delivery would be middle of may and the second said the end of may.
I emailed again two weeks ago for an update, I received exactly the same email saying that it would be the end of may. As it is now the end of may I emailed again today and yet again I have received the same response but now saying the end of June!!!
Not once have I had an update without emailing them first!!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Exercise caution and be wary of buying online from whitehall. Ordered a hot tub from their site online in Feb. The website clearly stated in stock and took my money. I then received an email saying the item wouldn't be in stock until the end of May. So my money was happily taken by this outfit. Managed to get a refund but really not good practise
Putting this review here as a customer related to a previous employee as most of you won’t see indeed reviews. So I’ve seen both sides over the past few years.
I have no personal bad blood with this company, so my view of them I’ve tried to remain as neutral as possible. I’m simply placing this review on here for all to see. Including management, if you can read.
I am telling you now, they IGNORE customer feedback. They will block negative reviews or simply not listen. They’re right, you’re wrong. Customer comes last. This is policy. It isn’t the fault of the staff who are talented, knowledgable and just all round great, it’s the ignorance of the family.
When the younger sisters or cousins (can’t remember) take over, it will crash and burn. I’m surprised COVID hasn’t already done this. A place like this should be out of business for how it treats customers and employees.
If they respond to this, that would be a first. But they won’t because they’ll have to respond to all the feedback on trust pilot they’ve received.
If it wasn’t for Christmas, you’d be out of business. We all know that.
Good luck x
My wife and I were searching for patio furniture. The two ladies in the department could not have been less helpful, they really could not be bothered and their aim seemed to be to get rid of us. Dreadful service if such actually qualifies as service.

Placed an online order for ‘in stock’ garden furniture.
Shortly after received an email to state it was not actually in stock!
Now there is only an email address for online orders and you cannot actually ring and speak to anyone
This is awful. Email responses are not prompt and if you ring the numbers on website they can only tell you to email
Please do not order from these. I am stuck with no refund, no delivery date, no communications and no money to purchase a new set
Their Instagram page is a SCAM!
They ran a giveaway less than a month ago where they stated that the winner would be announced Monday 15th march 2021. The prize was a garden set of tablets and chairs.
They had hundreds of entries and so many new followers came through due to this giveaway.
Monday arrived and they didn't announce the winner as stated per their own rules.
Several people started noticing and started calling them out in the comments. Whitehall garden centre ignored, until yesterday.
They announced that a man (insert name) had won. Here's where it gets suspicious. They didn't tag an account at all. They just listed the name of the person with no tags for transparency, like every other brand does when running a giveaway.
I searched their followers list, and no person with that name was even following them (one of the giveaway rules was to follow them) and no person with that name had even entered the giveaway.
Some people called them out for this on FB and IG, but their social media manager is clearly deleting comments left, right and centre.
Clearly the giveaway was a scam to get more followers, with no intention of ever having a legit winner.
Shame on you Whitehall. I mean, I've heard terrible things about your customer service, but didn't realise you would participate in actual scams. Will be reporting you to FB.
Very helpful and friendly staff at Whitchurch Garden Centre. I too had a problem with a Snowman but they replaced the battery cover by post without question. The Christmas displays are fabulous and a credit to this family run group of garden centres. Quite shocked at the bad reviews.
